Projects
Through the Proclaim Ministries, we seek to send missionaries to serve, plant churches, support pastors, establish programs for handicapped orphans, and for facility construction, services, food, material goods and supplies needed to assist those in need.
Each year our project list is updated when projects are completed. Sending missionaries is always a high priority, along with identifying and meeting special needs of the children and orphanage. The descriptions that follow provide a view into those activities Proclaim Ministries is seeking to support.
Main Road and Entry Areas Paving Project
We want to alert you to a new opportunity to bless the orphans at the In Step Children’s Home in Kenya. This is the first announcement of the Main Road and Entry Areas Paving Project. It is the first of its kind and is designed to address yearly rain issues for both children and missionaries. Designed to cover an area of 11,000 square feet, it will be the largest surface area upgrade project ever completed at In Step.
Sending Missionaries to In Step Children's Home
Each year Proclaim Ministries has enabled Tracy & Tamara to serve for 2 to 4 months at the In Step Children's Home in Northwest Kenya. Six years ago they said “Hineni” Lord! (Here I am) use me! They have continued to hear God’s call to serve these precious little ones each year.
In Step Children’s Home has grown to over 206 orphans. Their Mission is to protect, love, educate, and provide medical and long-term care to the abandoned, orphaned and abused children of Kenya.
What makes In Step Children’s Home unique is that it accepts the youngest of these children, some only days old when they arrive. You can be part of the amazing In Step story that is about God’s Grace and His Abundant Love in providing for these children by joining us as Missionary Partners in the prayerful support of our missionary service.
This is why your prayers as a Missionary Partner with us who are able to serve in person are so important.
While home in the States they serve in outreach programs in their church and community. For them, sharing the love of God has no boundaries.

Other Future PRojects

Operations and Maintenance building
This may sound strange but a critical feature of being able to keep a 206 orphan's home running is its maintenance. Spread out over 20 acres, the In Step Children's Home has many buildings and facilities that require daily maintenance. Currently, only this 15 x 20 foot "shop" is serving the purpose of tool, supply and work area for those responsible for the maintenance of the orphanage.
Connecting Sidewalk Network
Walks connecting dormitory, dining hall, kitchen, and main house are all red clay. The mess during the rainy season daily creates hours of additional cleaning of floors and clothes, and maintenance that paving connected paths will eliminate.

deaf/Blind CareGiver in the Stepping Stones Care Unit
In the Stepping Stones Care Unit, there are two young girls who are both deaf and blind. Their care needs are special and require a care partner who will be dedicated to their wellbeing. This caregiver would provide the additional attention needed for them to be brought into the Stepping Stone community interaction. Having someone to sit with them, help them learn to explore their worlds and be more self-sufficient is our goal.
